Coriander or Cilantro as it is called in some places, is a soft plant used in cooking as a spice or for garnishing. This picture contains all the forms of Coriander that are used in kitchen. Dried coriander fruits are called as coriander seeds and used as spice.
Well yeah, who doesn’t like French Fries ! What more fun with some crispy fun making on your own. Well a lot of people fancy making French Fries on there own but they don’t. It may be because they do not know how to make it, they do not have enough time or equipment. The most simplest way of making a French Fries is using an oven. But what to do when you do not have one. So pack your stuff, wear your kitchen apron and get ready for an awesome ride to make french fries in the most easiest way.
Well first of all you would need potatoes. Take some large potatoes, wash them nicely and peal of the skin. Cut them into nice long pieces.
Turn on the flame. Take lot of water in a bowl and heat it to boiling. Once the water is boiling with bubbles, drop pieces of potato slowly. Take care as the water is very hot, you may burn your fingers. Let the potatoes cook for some 10 minutes. Keep stirring every 3-4 minutes. Take out a piece and check if it is medium soft. You are not supposed to cook it completely. We are going to deep fry, so just cook enough that the potatoes are medium soft. Take out the potatoes on a clean cotton cloth and spread them evenly to dry out the moisture in them. Keep them under fan.
Viola, we are almost half way. Nice and soft potatoes are ready. What’s next ! Deeeeep Fry them. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan at high flame. Once the oil is medium hot, place the potatoes in the pan very very careful. Take 10-15 slices in every batch as per your comfort. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes and take them out on a clean paper. That would soak out access of oil. Repeat this step until you are done with all the slices. Let the potatoes dry for about 5 minutes before the second round of deep fry. Take some salt in a plate and spread it evenly, this will help in coating the salt on the fried chips evenly. Deep fry the second time on very high heat until they are light brown and the edges are brown.
That’s it. You are done. Sprinkle some salt on the top and if you have some peri peri use it. Toss the potatoes nicely in a bowl and enjoy it with sauce or chutney as you like it. Hope you enjoyed the recipe. Let me know how it goes when you try. Thank you.
